The short version: We collect only what we need to run the service. We don't sell your data. Your resume PDF is sent to Anthropic's API during processing and is not stored by us. Application data is stored in your account database. You can delete your account and all data at any time.
Stacked ("we", "us", "our") is a student-focused internship tracking and AI resume platform operated by Cameron Nix. You can reach us at stackedappco@gmail.com.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through Clerk, our authentication provider. We store your user ID and email in our database to associate your data with your account.
Application data: The internship applications you add — company names, roles, statuses, deadlines, and notes — are stored in our database associated with your account.
Usage data: We track how many times you use AI features (resume tailoring, cover letter generation) per month to enforce plan limits. We do not track individual content.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your plan.
We use the following third-party services to operate Stacked:
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and application data within 30 days. Stripe may retain payment records per their own retention policy for legal compliance.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page in the app, or by emailing stackedappco@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API keys and secrets are stored as encrypted environment variables and are never exposed to the client. We use Cloudflare's infrastructure, which includes DDoS protection and encrypted storage.
Stacked is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Stacked after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
